I would like to know how to do an HD install from the liveCD so I can test Vector to see if I like it and install it if I do.

To install from the VL-5.1-LIVE-RC2 live cd, boot the cd and login as ROOT. Then open a terminal and execute "vliveinstall".

To install from the VL SOHO live cd, boot the cd and login as ROOT. There will be a desktop icon for the installation. One thing that confuses folks is the options for installing the boot loader appear to only include the MBR. But just click on the window and edit the entry to what ever you want.

Good luck, jimbo
