Modern RHEL will auto install on the available space if you set it up to do so (and since your new to it, I would go ahead and let the software handle that the first time). You probably want to choose "Virtual Host" as your configuration when the option comes up. Take the defaults the first time because this....

... is probably not going to happen. If you dont' hose the install down every week for the first three months you have it, you're not trying. Besides, installing this stuff is on the test, think of it as practice.
The RHEL tests are not as hard as people make them out to be. If you have this stuff under your fingertips everyday, most of it quickly becomes second nature. Think of it this way, if Slackware Zombies can figure it out, how hard can it be?
