mandrake specific kernel compile guide?
a freind of mine uses mandrake 9.2 and I was looking to help him compile his kernel, but I know nothing of the mandrake layout and i was just hoping that theres a mandrake specific kernel compile guide that could make my life 100 times easier (kinda like the one in the slackware forum)
if not, whats a good tut that i can refer him to that will cover the steps necesary for mandrake like GRUB configuration (if mdk uses GRUB)
hes a real linux noob so it needs to be good, the only reason im thinking he's ready for his first compile is cuz he's a big time hardware jocky and hes knowledgeable about networking. (both required for kernel config)
