l/nodejs-16.14.0-x86_64-1.txz: Added.
Thanks to Audrius Kažukauskas, Ryan P.C. McQuen, and Willy Sudiarto Raharjo
for the slackbuilds.org version of the build script.
I wonder why was put into L series this nodejs, which is an interpreter for a dialect of Javascript, just like is Python or Ruby for their languages.
So, I believe that its place is on D series, along with other interpreters.
A similar thing happens with our daemon supervisor, which landed on N series.
BUT, it's a daemon supervisor, designed to be be used in the scripts from init system (and depends only on elogind) , then probably the best place for it is on A series, along with the other parts of init system.

- kontact: Fix Manager Crash when clicking New, Commit, #424252
If I recall when I made a similar request on Requests for --Current (now 15.0) , someone pointed that out too that it requires avahi, and the supposed workaround was an avahi library instead ? Since as of now HPLIP requires it or it will not even build.

It build, but, with '--disable-network-build' option.

Good, so hopefully Pat sees this, as when I requested bumping the HPLIP version at that time was 2.20 or something there of; but I think he was not aware of said solution or too pre-occupied anyways to implement it.

Extract GeneralUser soundfont from kde/minuet and ship it either in the fluidsynth package, or its own dedicated package, and exclude it from kde/minuet.
This way those who don't install KDE and the KDE minuet app will still have a decent soundfont for fluidsynth to use.
I posted about this years ago, but I'll have another try. In /etc/profile:
PATH:
Code:
# Set the default system $PATH:
PATH="/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/games"
# For root users, ensure that /usr/local/sbin, /usr/sbin, and /sbin are in
# the $PATH. Some means of connection don't add these by default (sshd comes
# to mind).
if [ "`id -u`" = "0" ]; then
echo $PATH | grep /usr/local/sbin 1> /dev/null 2> /dev/null
if [ ! $? = 0 ]; then
PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:$PATH
fi
fi
... that grep is completely pointless. PATH is explicitly set on the line above, so it won't contain '/us/local/sbin'
suggested simplification:
Code:
# Set the default system $PATH. For root user, include
# /usr/local/sbin, /usr/sbin, and /sbin
PATH="/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/games"
if [ "${LOGNAME:-$( id -un )}" = "root" ]; then
PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:$PATH
fi
Using LOGNAME will avoid an unnecessary call to id in most cases.
BIFF:
Code:
# Notify user of incoming mail. This can be overridden in the user's
# local startup file (~/.bash.login or whatever, depending on the shell)
if [ -x /usr/bin/biff ]; then
biff y 2> /dev/null
fi
Firstly, no one runs comsat any more, but even if they did, biff uses stderr to determine the tty it's on, so the 2>/dev/null completely breaks it anyway. I'd suggest just dropping this.
