hello, hello...
since I maintain these, here's some info:
academic/FastTree: a program to infer maximum-likelihood phylogenetic trees. Ugene can drive this
academic/FigTree: I don't see it in the list by marav, but was sure added. This is a nice tool to visualize phylogeny
academic/kalign: a multiple sequence alignment program; Ugene can drive it
academic/ncbi-edirect: this makes communication with the NCBI database easy, via bash scripts
academic/sim: this works in tandem with lalnview (long time on SBo) when you want to compare two protein sequences
academic/wise: this can map protein sequence to DNA, very useful if modelling for genes
libraries/tslib: this is a touchscreen lib, Viber looks for it, though it works fine without on a keyboard and mouse PC. Seems i will be maintaining Viber now, so doh...

yep
Code:
academic/FigTree: Add (A graphical viewer of phylogenetic trees).
but I think it's important (at least for my script) that commit messages respect a specific pattern for additions & deletions (as Pat does for the Slackware changelog)

For you, what determines if a software is related to Slackware or not?
This package contains 3 binaries:
- arch-chroot
- genfstab
- pacstrap
Except pacstrap, all others can be usefull
At least for the maintainer, who has decided to share his slackbuild on SBo :-)

This is a small suite of scripts aimed at automating some menial
tasks when installing Arch Linux.
